The Ask
To create a visually appealing and user-friendly fashion website (homepage and short-read) that features a modern and elegant design with a clean layout, high-quality images, and clear navigation that make it easy for users to find what they are looking for.
The Solution
I selected a color scheme and typography that are visually pleasing and match the website's content. The structure was done through a clean and organized layout using a grid-based structure (10 px grid and 12 columns), to make content easy to navigate. High-quality images that showcase fashion stories are incorporated in an appealing way. The navigation menu is clear and intuitive, categorizing stories into logical sections, including a search bar for quick access.

A clean and minimalist layout with plenty of white space, clear navigation, and attention-grabbing visual elements such as high-quality images and videos.

Colour Palette
A black and white colour scheme that is neutral and elegant with a variety of coloured images that add interest and vibrancy. The colours used are widely used in the fashion industry and that is why they were also implemented for this fashion website.
Typography
A combination of Futura and PT Serif fonts to create a modern yet sophisticated feel, with generous line spacing for legibility.
Homepage
A Homepage that features the "Top Stories of the Week" that are the articles more viewed during the week, and "Today's Stories" to keep the reader informed on what has been published recently. The "Must Read" section highlights the top stories on the website. The photos used represent models, singers, actors and many more in the fashion world to descirbe the purpose of the website.
Articles
A short-read that can be accessed through the homepage that focuses on Schiaparelli's collection inspired by Dante's Inferno. Photos and videos are included showing the collections' looks. To capture the essence of Schiaparelli's vision, a carefully chosen quote highlights the inspiration behind this extraordinary collection. A section is reserved for the subsribirng to the newsletter of the website and regarding the "Read More", related topics are shown to allow the reader to delve in depth on this topic.
A long-read that focuses on Schiaparelli's Haute Couture Spring Summer 2023. This unique page showcases Schiaparelli's illustrations, complemented by the incorporation of signature gold chains from their iconic runways. The backdrop features a stunning gold texture, reflecting the essence of Schiaparelli's visionary concepts. The long read breaks away from templates, offering a truly distinctive and immersive experience that perfectly encapsulates the essence of Schiaparelli's inimitable style.

What I've learned
Through the fashion homepage, I've learned to create visually appealing designs that truly engage visitors. Crafting the short read on Schiaparelli's haute couture taught me the art of concise communication and seamlessly integrating visuals for captivating storytelling. Designing the unique long read allowed me to push my creativity to new heights, exploring innovative layouts and developing a strong sense of visual storytelling. These projects have developed my skills in user-centric design, concise communication, and creative expression, enabling me to create immersive and impactful experiences.
